This
is the start of the trip at gas station on Federal Way. Gorgeous day for a ride!
We’ve
always wanted to cruise the King Hill area along the Snake, so we did! We tried to
take as many back roads as possible and avoid the interstate.

We
stopped for lunch at a little burger joint around the Buhl area.

We
saw some some beautiful country. These pictures are from Highway 66 around the
East Canyon Reservoir in Utah. GREAT
windy roads!

This
is the Westgate Resort where we stayed.
This resort is located in The Canyons Ski Resort near Park City.

Of
course the obligatory food shot and Craig sporting the new sandals he had to
buy because he forgot shoes other than boots.

July 11, 2009 – Day 2
Sippin’ some
java on Main Street in Park City.

Took the little chair lift while we were waiting for the
shuttle to take us into town.

Stats: Park City to Boise
Route:
-
I80
East to 84 and Morgan and Mountain Green

-
Highway

-
I84
from Tremonton back to Boise
Miles: 484 miles
Time: 11am departure to 8:30pm arrival in Boise
Of
course, wanting to stick to the back roads on the way home, we got a tip from Eddy
at Destination Ski & Sports in Park City of a fun route home on roads
headed up the canyons toward Wolf Mountain ski area. THANK YOU EDDY – LOVED the roads!

Just
outside of Bear Lake we ran into some rain and hail the size of an eraser. Can you say ouch…. This is right after the rain and we are taking
off the rain gear.

And
finally some parting shots….We had a great time and went 946 miles total on the
bikes!
