Scuba Diving
The Baja Peninsula is a great spot for scuba diving and snorkeling. From La Paz, Cabo Pulmo National Marine Park, to Cabo San Lucas you will find some of the best diving in the area.

Snorkeling
Below are our favorite snorkeling spots near Los Barriles, La Ribera, and Cabo Pulmo.
-
There is good snorkeling just 30 minutes North of Los Barriles on the dirt coastal road.
-
My favorite places to go are Los Arbolitos and Los Frailes which are just past Cabo Pulmo Marine Reserve (about an hour drive South). https://www.moon.com/travel/outdoors/cabo-pulmo-diving-and-snorkeling/
-
If you want to snorkel with Whale Sharks, La Paz is the place to go. The season runs from December - 1st of April. We have used EcoMigrations and been very happy with their service https://www.ecomigrations.com/.
-
Near San Jose del Cabo there is also Santa Rosalia and Chileno Bay. Both of those are usually very busy and that is where a chartered snorkel boat out of Cabo will take you.

Fishing
From hunting down that big Tuna or hooking that once in a lifetime Marlin, this is the place to do it. Baja offers anglers 2000 miles of pristine coastline to start your fishing trip from. Some of the best fishing is right out our front door in Los Barriles and La Ribera!

Golf
In the Los Cabos area (Cabo San Lucas and San Jose del Cabo), there are over 18 golf courses to choose from and a few have world class ranges and practice areas. For the latest courses, visit https://www.visitloscabos.travel/golf/

UTV/ATV Rental and Locations
UTV's and ATV's seem to be the primary transportation around Los Barriles. There are so many areas you can travel to with either vehicle. Just a few highlights are the Buenos Aires Waterfalls and the San Bartolo Arroyo up to Zopilotes Ice Cream Shop!

Two good sources for UTV/ATV rentals:

Hiking and Mountain Biking Trails
Along the entire Baja and the East Cape area there are many mountains and arroyos with some great hiking trails that lead up to waterfalls and the Sierra de La Laguna Mountain Range.
Below are some good sources for the trails:

Santiago - Rancho Ecologico Sol de Mayo

Los Barriles -Buenos Aires Waterfall

Los Barriles - Hill Behind El Torote Houses

Kite Boarding, Wind Surfing, and Foil Surfing
The East Cape area is famous for it's winds which brings people from all over to kitebard, windsurf or foil surf! Exotikite offers lessons at a reasonable rate with some of the best Certified Instructors.
